Why can’t some listings accept donations?
Giving through WeTheDonors is not yet available. It opens only after the receiving entity, payment route, and applicable contribution rules are approved. A directory listing is not permission to collect money.
Reviewed Give ↗ links open the official donation site. Donations made there are managed and receipted there; they do not appear in My giving.
Federal filings, local election sources, and organization records have different coverage. Profiles show their sources and limits.
Who can join and give?
Browsing does not require an account. Joining is free. Giving through WeTheDonors would require verified U.S. citizenship, identity, and applicable age requirements, with recipient-specific contribution rules checked separately. Official donation sites apply their own checks. Where you can vote and where you can donate are not always the same.
Can people combine their support?
People can independently support the same recipient. Shared goal funds are a later addition; their objectives, operators and allocation rules will be disclosed before giving.
Is this across political parties?
The directory does not sell placement or rank candidates by party or donation totals. Exact and relevant matches come first. Sources and coverage remain visible.
Are all causes treated alike?
No. Campaigns, charities, advocacy groups, ballot measures, and personal funds need different approved money routes. A general issue search leads to actual organizations or funds; it is not itself a place to send money.
